Shane has been playing golf since the age of 13 and enjoyed great success on the amateur circuits including winning the prestigious Irish Close Championship in 2007. The West of Ireland and Northern Ireland Championships followed in 2008 ending the year with the Sotogrande Cup. In May 2009 Shane became only the third amateur to win a European Tour title, the 3 Irish Open at County Louth Club in Baltry. A few days following this success Shane made the decision to turn professional. Teligence will closely follow Shane's career and will place periodic updates on this page.
